Research Room Temporarily Relocated from May 16, 2022

CEU Library, Budapest

Due to construction works in the building of Blinken OSA, all staff and the Research Room will relocate to CEU's main campus as of May 16. The Reading Room will operate within CEU's beautiful new library, while archival materials will be transferred regularly from the stacks of Blinken OSA. We will do everything we can to continue to offer the usual quality services under the changed circumstances. The following apply until September 30, 2022:

Opening hours: weekdays 10 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.; closed on weekends

  • Access to CEU Library: with CEU visiting ID cards only, which can be obtained from the CEU Reception Desk at the Nádor utca 15 entrance
  • The Research Room is located on the third floor of the CEU Library, entry through the main Library entrance on the second floor
  • Reserve your research slots one day before arrival
  • 2 X 2-hour slots can be secured for max. 12 researchers per day
  • Requests for textual materials will be collected twice a week: Tuesday and Friday afternoon via email and "yellow" Request Forms in the Research Room
  • You can request up to ten boxes at a time; you may place another request when you return the previous batch
  • To expedite the process, you may inform our reference team about your research topic and request ahead of your visit
  • We will continue to offer our Digitization on demand service
  • Members of the CEU community are encouraged to visit the Research Cloud (available with MS Office username and password)
  • Non-digitized AV materials, microforms, and reference books will unfortunately not be available for research
