International Roma Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of Roma culture, and to highlight the difficulties that these people face in this part of the world.
OSA, as the official archive of the Open Society Foundations network, ambitiously aims at collecting, preserving, and making available Roma-related collections which document democratic development in Eastern Europe—and which also shed some light on trends of discrimination, prejudice, and racism against the Romani people. Through our efforts to bring together varied and dispersed sources, we support all initiatives aimed at breaking the cycle of exclusion and empowering Roma communities to raise their voice.
