Episode 1: Transnational Memories - Hungarian Refugees in 1956
This episode introduces a unique research project at Blinken OSA, the goal of which is to collect and make available online the dispersed cultural heritage of the refugees who fled Hungary following the 1956 Revolution. The documents assembled from the collections of the International Rescue Committee at the Hoover Institution at Stanford and the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington DC shed a unique light on the history of 1956.
Participants of the project are András Mink , Historian, Research fellow at OSA, Zsolt Máté, MA student in history, and József Bóné , editor of the refugee blog.
