Iran
Iranian and Western materials produced in the first decade after Khomeini's Islamic Revolution, focusing on pre-Revolutionary history, the Pahlavi dynasty and its collapse, and life in Iran after 1979. The series includes a documentary on nomads, and raw footage of the morals police on the streets of Tehran, a public stoning, and aerial bombardments of Kurdish villages. There is also a CNN report made on the twentieth anniversary of the Revolution, on tensions between 'Westernized' and traditionalist Iranians, featuring interviews with members of the Iranian government.
