Afghanistan
This series of six tapes contains mostly international material made between 1999 and 2001, focusing on the upheavals of the preceding decade. These documentaries investigate everyday life under and resistance to the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the plight of refugees in Pakistan during the war with the Soviet Union, as well as raw footage of refugees returning to Afghanistan, and media coverage of Soviet troop withdrawals and their aftermath.
