Petőfi születésének 150. évfordulóján és 5 évvel az 1968-as diákmozgalmak után hatszáz hosszú hajú, farmernadrágos gimnazista (a Kölcsey, Képzőművészeti, Madách, Móricz, Szilágyi Erzsébet, Toldy és a pápai Petőfi gimnázium diákjai) újrajátsszák és értelmezik az 1848-as forradalom eseményeit: máglyára vetett iskolapadokkal, stilizált kivégzéssel, művérrel, Szörényi-Tolcsvay zenéjével és részegítő szabadságvággyal.

Commemorating the 150th anniversary of poet Sándor Petőfi's birth, and five years on from the student movements of 1968, six hundred long-haired youths in jeans (students from six secondary grammar schools in Budapest and one in Pápa), re-enact and reinterpret the events of the 1848 revolution by burning their school desks and using fake blood in mock executions. Their intoxication with freedom is accompanied by the powerful music of the Szörényi-Tolcsvay duo.
