Live Streaming of USHMM Conference at OSA
On Wednesday March 19, OSA is hosting a live streaming of a one-day international conference held at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, The Holocaust in Hungary, 70 Years Later.
"The conference aims to engage international scholarly cooperation and present new and emerging scholarship on the Holocaust in Hungary and its aftermath. Leaders in the field will address a range of topics, including postwar Hungarian Jewish refugees; the Catholic Church, nationalism, and antisemitism in Hungary since 1989; and antisemitic and anti-Roma policies in present-day Hungarian politics."
The conference coincides with the 70th anniversary of the German troops entering Hungary, and will be screened live at OSA from 3 to 10 pm, with simultaneous translation into Hungarian. The conference will be opened by Professor Randolph L. Braham.
This event is organized by Mazsike (the Hungarian Jewish Cultural Association), and hosted by OSA. Attendance is free.
The conference program is here - please note the five-hour time difference!
