OSA is circulating the Call for Papers for the 44th annual International Association of Labour History Institutions conference, Opening up Social History Repositories: New Technologies and New Methods, held on September 26-28, 2013, at the CEU, Budapest, Hungary. The conference is organized by the IALHI in cooperation with the Central European University and OSA.The conference aims at re-opening a dialog between social history research and archival curation by focusing on the ephemeral and scattered nature of transnational, postcolonial and post-communist collections in the digital age. The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Jürgen Kocka. The conference is organized around three thematic sections, detailed fully in the pdf below: (1) Reconnecting Collection Policies and Research Interests; (2) Reusing Social History Data; and (3) Intellectual Property Rights and the Mandate of Social History.Proposals for papers should include an abstract (max. 300 words) specifying which thematic section the paper addresses, a biographical note (max. 200 words) and the full postal and email address of the author.
